Our Ministries

At Progress Village Seventh-day Adventist Church, ministry is more than a program—it is how we live out our calling to love God, serve others, make disciples, and share the hope of Jesus Christ. Our ministries provide opportunities for every generation to grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, discover their gifts, and serve our church and community.

Adventist Youth Ministry

Adventist Youth Ministry empowers young people to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, discover and use their spiritual gifts, and actively participate in the life and mission of the church. Through worship, discipleship, fellowship, leadership, service, and outreach, our youth are encouraged to live their faith with purpose and share Christ with others.

Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry nurtures children into a loving and serving relationship with Jesus Christ. Through safe, engaging, age-appropriate Bible learning, worship, service, and fellowship, we help children experience the love of Jesus, develop their faith, discover the joy of serving others, and build a spiritual foundation that can last a lifetime.

Community Services

Community Services extends the compassion of Jesus Christ beyond the walls of our church by responding to the practical needs of individuals and families in our community. Through outreach, food and resource assistance, education, partnerships, and other forms of support, we seek to serve the whole person—physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually—while treating every individual with compassion and dignity.

Deaconesses

Deaconesses serve the church through compassionate care, hospitality, visitation, and support of worship and church ordinances. They assist with baptisms and Communion, care for members and guests, support individuals with special needs, and serve wherever needed to help our congregation experience the love, dignity, and care of Christ.

Deacons

Deacons serve the church through practical ministry, member care, and support of the congregation’s worship and mission. Their responsibilities include assisting with worship services and church ordinances, caring for members and those in need, supporting the upkeep and readiness of church facilities, and helping create a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for worship and fellowship.

Elders

Elders provide spiritual leadership and work closely with the pastor in nurturing and caring for the congregation. Through prayer, worship leadership, visitation, teaching, member care, discipleship, and support of the church’s ministries and mission, they help strengthen the spiritual life and unity of the church.

Family Ministry

Family Ministry seeks to strengthen individuals, marriages, parents, children, and families through the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Through Christ-centered education, fellowship, enrichment, and support, we help families develop healthy relationships, grow as disciples together, and pass a living and transformational faith to the next generation.

Homeless Ministry

Homeless Ministry demonstrates the compassion of Christ by serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Through food, essential supplies, prayer, encouragement, compassionate relationships, and connections to community resources, we seek to meet practical needs while affirming the dignity and worth of every person we serve.

Hospitality Ministry

Hospitality Ministry creates opportunities for fellowship and connection by providing meals for our church family and guests following worship on select Sabbaths. Through thoughtful preparation, service, and the sharing of a meal together, the ministry helps create a welcoming environment where relationships can grow and members and visitors can enjoy meaningful fellowship. In every meal served, we seek to demonstrate the warmth, generosity, and love of Christ.

Men’s Ministry

Men’s Ministry encourages men to develop a deeper relationship with Christ and become faithful disciples, spiritual leaders, mentors, and servants. Through prayer, Bible study, fellowship, mentorship, and service, men strengthen one another while making a positive impact in their homes, church, and community.

Music Ministry

Music Ministry leads and enriches the worship experience through music that glorifies God, communicates the gospel, and prepares hearts to receive His Word. Through our Praise Team, vocalists, musicians, choirs, and special music, we seek to encourage congregational participation, inspire praise, nurture spiritual growth, and draw people into a deeper experience with Jesus Christ.

Pathfinders

Pathfinders is a Christ-centered ministry that helps young people grow spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. Through Bible study, honors, leadership development, community service, outdoor activities, camping, and practical life skills, Pathfinders develop character, confidence, responsibility, and a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.

Personal Ministries

Personal Ministries equips and mobilizes members to become active disciples and disciple-makers. Through personal witnessing, Bible study, evangelism, outreach, and discipleship, we encourage every member to use their spiritual gifts to share the gospel and introduce others to the hope, wholeness, and transforming love found in Jesus Christ.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry seeks to make prayer an integral part of the spiritual life and mission of our church. We provide opportunities for individual and corporate prayer, intercede for the needs of our congregation and community, and encourage others to experience a deeper relationship with God through a consistent and vibrant prayer life.

Technology Ministry

Technology Ministry uses technology and digital media to support worship, strengthen communication, and extend the ministry of Progress Village beyond the walls of the church. Through audio, video, livestreaming, multimedia, website management, and digital communications, we help create meaningful worship experiences and connect people with the gospel—both in person and online.

Ushers

Ushers help create a welcoming, reverent, safe, and organized environment for worship. They greet and assist members and guests, help with seating and information, support the orderly flow of worship services, and respond to practical needs so that everyone can participate comfortably in the worship experience.

Women’s Ministry

Women’s Ministry exists to nurture, encourage, and empower women in their relationship with Jesus Christ and in service to others. Through prayer, discipleship, mentoring, fellowship, leadership development, and outreach, we create opportunities for women of all ages to grow spiritually, support one another, and use their God-given gifts to make a difference in the church and community.
